Yasmin Birthcontrol?

I have been on Yasmin birth control for almost a year now.. I have never taken the white pills because I thought they were just sugar pills and have always had my period like normal. After this last period however I have been spotting for over a week. What does this mean and should I contact my Dr. ? Please help!
