Bleeding on Birth Control?

So I started birth control three sundays ago and this week was my placebo week and I am bleeding but I actually started having my period two weeks ago yesterday. I know about breakthrough bleeding but this seems really extensive, and I know I just started but is that to unusual or something to worry about?
