What kind of snake is this?!?!?!!? help plz!?

my dad went out to our garage just now to get something and saw a thin but somewhat long snake. I think it may be poisonous but i'm not sure. He said it was completely black with brown stripes it's not very specific but that's all he saw. The snake also had somewhat of a triangular head. what kind is that?
