White cabinets wood floors?

I am having a new home built and cannot decide on the kitchen cabinet colors. I can either go with a maple or white cabinets. I like the look of white cabinets with the beige granite with dark veins in it. However, if I do this, should I go with a dark floor? I also don't know if it will make my kitchen look cheap with the white. I need help deciding. There is a lot of cabinets in this kitchen with a HUGE island in the center, so a wrong mistake on the cabinet color I feel will throw everything off.
