Unable to access LAN hosted website from the same LAN?

Our website is hosted on our LAN. When we try to browse the site from that same LAN, it resolves to the public IP and we end up with the admin page for our Cisco router. I thought that there was a security feature on some routers to prevent a request for an internal resource to go out and come back in but I cant seem to find it. Anyone have any ideas?
